As usual, you said a lot of funny and thought-provoking stuff last week. But like LeVar Burton, don't take our word for it, and read on for Georgetown protests, monkeyrotica running a museum, and GMU fraternities, among other things. ------ monkeyrotica would be an awesome director of the National Museum of Health and Medicine: The disorganized state of the Army Medical Museum is an example of vicious circle funding: hardly anybody visits the place because...

Suspects wait for a motorist to leave their vehicle unlocked and unattended and then quickly grab a purse, briefcase or other items while a customer is paying the cashier. In most cases the suspect is not seen committing the theft and often the suspect(s) are only seen fleeing in vehicles. It does not appear that these thefts are being committed by the same people, but are crimes of opportunity.

We've noticed Sexy Fitsum's candid party shots for awhile, a little bit in the vein of Misshapes, except, you know, classier and without all the dead-eyed stares behind frizzy mops of hair. This is an exceptional image, not just for the spot-on lighting, but for the perfect composition that puts action and personality into the shot even without the help of a facial expression. EXIF....
>> If you've ever thought about having a wedding of any kind, we'd recommend stopping by Olsson's Courthouse store tonight to listen to The New Yorker's Rebecca Mead, whose most recent work explores the sinister workings of the $160 billion wedding industry and has been the talk of the internets of late. Tomorrow we'll dig up information on the best ways to elope for anyone who was in attendance. Mead reads from One Perfect Day:...
